Bhadravati is a city in Chandrapur district in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is also a Taluka in Chandrapur. It’s head quarters is Bhadravati Town. It belongs to Nagpur Division. Chandrapur is about 27 kms away from Bhadravati. It is surrounded by many industries and coal mines.
The nearby cities are Wani, Warora, Durgapur, Chandrapur to Bhadrawati. It consists of 115 villages and 40 panchayats.
The tourists are attracted with the temples in this area. Jain Mandir, Ganesh Mandir of Gavrala and Buddha Vastu of Vijasan. The Jain temple here is an ancient one dedicated to Jain Tirthankar Parshvanath. Much bigger Jain temple is constructed behind the old temple. The architecture and archaeological remains of the Ganesh mandir refers to the art of late ancient historic period.
There are Buddhist caves, popularly known as Vijasan Tekdi which are 2000 years old. It is situated at Vijasan village. The International Buddha Dhamma conventions has been hosted by these caves. Many leaders and monks of Buddha Dhamma represent at this convention from all over the world.
