I always wanted to shoot Eid celebration at Qutab Shahi Tombs in Hyderabad. Fortunately, this year I got the opportunity.
Eid al Fitr ,festival of breaking of the fast is an important religious festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting (sawm). The religious Eid is the first and only day in the month of Shawwal during which Muslims are not permitted to fast
50,000 people gather at the Idgah inside the Qutub Shahi Tombs plaza for the Eid-ul-Adha namaz. The Idgah is just a small part of the necropolis which includes 40 mausoleums, 23 mosques, six step wells, pavilions and gardens. It is beautiful to just be there amidst these monuments and the Eid prayers just make the experience even more wonderful.
Here are some of my pictures from the event.
Thank you for reading this post. Hope you liked spending time here. I will be back again with another interesting place.
