Moidams – the Mound-Burial System of the Ahom Dynasty

Taj Mahal

Nanda Devi and Valley of Flowers National Parks

These two Himalayan parks combine towering peaks, glaciers and one of the world's most spectacular alpine flower meadows. The Valley of Flowers bursts into colour during the monsoon, while Nanda Devi remains one of India's most pristine mountain wildernesses.

Santiniketan

Founded by Maharshi Debendranath Tagore and later developed by Rabindranath Tagore into an innovative centre of learning, Santiniketan blends education, art, literature and nature in a peaceful rural setting.

Sundarbans National Park

The Sundarbans is the world's largest mangrove forest and the legendary home of the Royal Bengal Tiger. Exploring its winding tidal waterways by boat offers one of India's most unforgettable wildlife experiences.

Mountain Railways of India

The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, Nilgiri Mountain Railway and Kalka–Shimla Railway are engineering marvels that continue to carry passengers through some of India's most scenic mountain landscapes. These historic trains offer one of the country's most memorable travel experiences.
